Relaxed cookery classes, using sustainable fish,wild and foraged or local ingredients and seasonal game in Rye, East Sussex, led by chef and restaurateur Paul Webbe.

From fish cooking or specialist courses for private home cooks, or corporate team building activity days in our main venue, a purpose built teaching kitchen within Webbes at the Fish Cafe, Rye.
There is a course for everyone at every level of cooking skill from beginner to expert.
Rye: Whole Day Classes 9.15-4.30pm
The day is relaxed, informal and fun and finishes with you enjoying the sumptuous lunch that you have created. Why not take the opportunity to complete your day by inviting a guest to share in the fruits of your labours. Guests can join you for lunch, arriving at 1.00pm, including a glass of wine for £40.00, please book in advance.

I recently attended a full day 'Game' cookery course with Paul Webbe as our host and it was certainly one of the best educational tuition day's I have ever experienced. Paul is a superb teacher, very well organised, certainly has bags of experience and above all passion, and it showed in every conceivable way throughout the day. Great menu to accomplish, sincere hospitality at it's very best and first class ingredients to work with. I loved every minute of the day, from Paul's first greeting and chat over coffee to our parting at the end of the day when I left with heaps of enthusiasm and raring to get cooking!!...Many many thanks, I will certainly be signing up for more...Thank you.
Paul was a calm, inspiring, knowledgeable teacher who gave us an enormous amount of skills to go away with.
The school was immaculate and the whole day was run to the highest exacting standards using the finest ingredients.
Will definitely go on more courses.
Truly a must go course where local ingredients are sourced and used.
