In the film, Kim (Felicity Jones) is a feisty London teenager hired to work as a chalet girl who quickly finds herself out of her depth both on the slopes and in love. Propelled into a world of wealth she is a constant source of amusement to her employers and exasperation to her workmate Georgie. And as if that isn't enough, she falls for her boss's handsome son Jonny (Ed Westwick)…..

| About Our Chalet Cooking Course.....
Webbe’s and sister company Cutting Edge Food & Wine School have worked with the top ski chalet companies over many years to create the intensive, hands-on One Week Chalet Cook/Hosts Cooking Course that covers all you need to know. Those who prove they could cater for a chalet receive the Chalet Cooks Certificate and those who reach a satisfactory level in cooking receive the Foundation Cooking Certificate. Further weeks are available either for new cooks to complete the chalet training or qualified Chalet Cooks to reach the higher cooking levels of Intermediate and Advanced.
This is a well-respected qualification developed to the requirements of the major ski companies. The course is designed to deliver proficiency & inspiration in cooking to a high standard for large groups, backed by sound knowledge of the foundations of cooking, the requirements for a successful chalet host & factors affecting high altitude catering for those wishing to prepare properly for the rewarding but demanding job.
Students of all abilities, beginner to reasonable cook need to master:
- Techniques inc. sauces, terms & equipment, recipe reading
- High altitude cooking factors – Tips, techniques, continental meat cuts
- Budgeting, shopping, quantities, storage
- Choosing & preparing ingredients, adaptation, substitution, flexibility
- Six or Twelve Day Personal Menus Planning
- Restaurant standard presentation
- Role of the Chalet Host & related jobs
- Timing & organization
- Safety & hygiene
- Balanced nutrition
- Kitchen confidence, coping with mistakes
- Wide repertoire of exciting international recipes inc. cakes & canapés
- Interview training
